The Aqua Medic Calcium Reactor 1000 is a closed system designed for universal use. It can be operated on a bypass system, independent of the water level in the aquarium, or alternatively be installed in the filter sump. It includes a large volume (10 liters or c. 2.5 gallons) of Hydrocarbonate and an integrated circulation pump that features the patented Aqua Medic needle wheel. By adding CO2, the pH value in the Calcium Reactor falls and the Hydrocarbonate is dissolved. Even with a low flow rate of 1 to 4 l/hr (c. 0,25 to 1 gph), a large amount of dissolved calcium enters into the aquarium, which is assimilated by the animals. The Calcium Reactor 1000 has an integral port to accommodate a PG 13.5 threaded electrode to measure the pH value. Now including the Aqua Medic SP 3000 Dosing Pump for controlled water flow.

Note: We highly recommend using a CO2 System with your Calcium Reactor.
