The Kalkwasser Stirrer 1000 stirs the kalkwasser so that the calcium carbonate sediment settles at the bottom of the Stirrer while the clear solution of calcium hydroxide is at the outlet where it can be transferred to the tank using the Niveaumat SP3000 (Automatic Top Off Unit with peristaltic pump and float switch).
Unit comes with 1 lb of Aqua Medic Kalkwasser Powder. For replacement Kalkwasser we suggest using the Inland Seas Kalkwasser Mix Calcium Supplement.

The Niveaumat SP 3000 will automatically top off evaporated water in fresh and salt water aquariums. It comprises an Aqua Medic SP3000 Dosing Pump with a directly connected float switch. The float switch is installed in the aquarium or filter tank at the desired level using its holding unit. As the level drops the SP 3000 automatically tops off the tank with water from a reservoir (reservoir not supplied).

Inland Seas Kalkwasser Mix is used to make kalkwasser, the German term for a saturated solution of calcium hydroxide in water. Kalkwasser replenishes the calcium used during the growth of stony corals, coralline algae, clams, etc. Other benefits of kalkwasser include the precipitation of phosphate, maintenance of pH and alkalinity, and enhanced protein skimming.
