Complete Planted Aquarium CO2 Setup #1

The six items on this page constitute a complete automated aquarium CO2 System for planted aquariums up to 75 gallons. For smaller planted aquariums you can use the Hydor CO20 and CO2 88 Pressurized CO2 Kits (NOT automated). For larger planted aquariums you would want to use of the larger CO2 Reactors we carry. The larger Reactors are more complex and involve water pumps and more complex CO2 system connections.

The American Marine Pinpoint pH Controller is a rugged controller which includes the appropriate probe and calibration fluids. This device will automate another electrical device such as a calcium reactor or magnetic solenoid for the addition of CO2 into an aquaculture or process system, and it will control pH in both a downward and upward direction. The user will select his or her own set point and any range of acceptable pH around this set point. This full featured controller will handle up to 5.0 amps at 110 VAC. The Pinpoint pH Controller is perfect for the freshwater planted aquarium keeper as well as the serious saltwater hobbyist. 2 year manufacturer's warranty.

The Aqua Medic CO2 Reactor 100 is the smallest CO2 reactor we carry. The Reactor is designed to be placed directly in a freshwater aquarium and it comes with a suction cup holder. The CO2 is forced through a ceramic diaphragm. This creates tiny bubbles that rise slowly in the water and dissolve on their way up. It requires a CO2 bottle, tubing and a bubble counter or regulator. A pump is not required. Dimension: 2" X 1" X 1.75".

The Reactor 100 is maintenance free. If after a long period of operation the ceramic diaphragm is clogged by dirt or algae, you can clean it by placing it in a 6% solution of hydrogen peroxide for a few days..
