The CPR Bak-Pak 2R+ is designed for reef aquariums. This skimmer is designed for use on reef tanks where biological filtration is not necessary, but still incorporates all of the other features that have made the Bak-Pak line of skimmers so popular.
Features:
- For reef tanks up 60 gallons. For larger tanks use the Bak-Pak Dual Pak. For fish only tanks use the Cyclone Bak-Pak 2 Bio-Filter w/ Accela Pump.
- For hang-on use only. No need to purchase an overflow or return pump, the Bak-Pak 2R+ simply hangs on the back of your tank.

The Bak-Pak 2 Bio-Filter Protein Skimmer is the second generation external, hang on the back, combination Protein Skimmer and Biological Filtration unit from CPR. The Bak-Pak 2, like the original, is designed for tank sizes up to 60 gallons. Water first enters the Protein Skimmer column from the aquarium and then flows through the biological chamber filled with Bio-Bale filtration media before returning to the aquarium.

CPR has taken the proven technology behind the Bak-Pak 2, and created the larger Bak-Pak Dual Pak protein skimmer. The Dual Pak provides a complete hang-on filtration unit for tanks up to 100 gallons that incorporates two protein skimmers with a biological filtration chamber in the middle. Using proven Rejuvenation Venturi technology, the protein skimmers are flooded with bubbles for constant removal of excess organics. The biological chamber utilizes CPR's Bio-Bale biological filter media to provide maximum surface area for beneficial bacteria to colonize.

The unique CPR Aquatic SR2 Protein Skimmer design places the air inlet venturi prior to the pump impeller achieving an effect similar to needle-wheel skimmers in that the impeller chops the bubbles into the water giving smaller bubbles and improved contact time. The bio-filter section includes shaved plastic "Bio-Bale" which acts as both a biological filter and a bubble trap to prevent small bubbles from returning to the tank.

The CPR Aquatic SR3 Protein Skimmer is an in-sump skimmer that features a newly designed baffle system. Its narrow footprint is perfect for small sump spaces including the Bio-Cube 29 tank by Oceanic. It easily slides inside the middle chamber of the sump section of the BioCube 29 without any modifications (but will NOT work with the BioCube 29 HQI).
