The Tunze Comline DOC Skimmer 9012 DC is quiet and generates a very large volume of small bubbles for efficient skimmer operation. It operates stand-alone in the aquarium or in a sump without needing any additional equipment (feed pumps, etc). It can mount to the inside of the tank, inside the back compartment of an aquarium or sump wall via a convenient magnet holder strong enough for glass up to 1/2" thick.

For aquariums from 55 to 317 gallons (depending on bio-load). If the tank is well stocked and has hard coral it's best for tanks in the 55 gallon to 90 gallon range. For lightly stocked tanks, soft coral and saltwater fish only tanks that are much larger this skimmer sill suffice.

The Tunze Comline DOC Skimmer 9012 DC offers the same characteristic features as the Tunze Comline DOC Skimmer 9012, but is additionally equipped with the Electronic Foamer 9012.041, a controller and a power supply. The performance of the skimmer can easily be adjusted using the power regulation on the controller. There is a special “cup cleaning” button to execute the cup cleaning process. It switches the pump off and on again, so that the cup can be removed from the aquarium without bubbles. The foamer will automatically switch on again after approx. 10 minutes, if the pump has not already been activated again through a repeated manual actuation of the “cup cleaning” button. If the foamer is stopped, the air jet will be rinsed. This significantly extends the maintenance intervals of the device.
