Hygger Titanium Tube Aquarium Heaters

The Hygger Titanium Tube Heaters are suitable for saltwater and freshwater fish tanks. They're made of TA2 aerospace titanium alloy, and the heater tube is covered with Teflon. It has a built-in intelligent IC chip, an accurate temperature control system, and a memory function. An external controller that can display water temperature and set the temperature.

The temperature accuracy of the heaters is 1°F/°C and the setting range is 68°F to 90°F (20°C-32°C). The titanium heaters have a high IP68 waterproof rating and is also explosion-proof, corrosion-proof, and ozone-proof. In case of a power failure, the heater will heat up when power is restored according to the last setting.

There are four sizes to choose from: 100W, 200W, 300W, and 500W. Hygger recommends five to six watts per gallon.

Tunze Turbelle Nanostream 6075 ORCA

The Tunze Turbelle Nanostream 6075 ORCA kit not only includes the Tunze ORCA MK2 0501.000 Powerhead Mount, but also includes a Tunze Turbelle Nanostream 6075.005 HUB Edition pump capable of pushing 700 to 2000 GPH. The ORCA MK2 is an oscillating powerhead mount designed to add dynamic flow by physically moving a circulation pump. Instead of pushing water in one direction 24/7, the ORCA slowly rotates a powerhead, changing the direction of flow throughout the tank to better replicate natural reef conditions. This type of movement helps reduce dead spots, keeps detritus suspended so that it can be removed by filtration, and improves overall flow coverage without adding additional pumps.

The ORCA MK2 is controlled through the Tunze Reef Assistant app, giving you a high level of control over how the powerhead moves throughout the day. From the app, you can adjust rotation direction, set the sweep angle, and even vary the pump’s flow rate based on where it is pointing to better match your tank’s dimensions, aquascape, and livestock needs. For example, you might choose to place the ORCA on the back of your aquarium and have the pump run at a slower speed when it's facing the front of the tank to avoid disturbing the sandbed, then increase flow when the pump is aimed toward the sides to help reach the end of the aquarium. You can also use this feature to slow the pump speed down when it's pointing towards more delicate corals that would be damaged by intense flow.

These internal overflow aquariums offer specific advantages to folks who want to plumb their display to a sump but need to minimize the space required behind the aquarium. TradeWind Aquarium Chillers

TradeWind Chillers are unique in a couple ways. For one, they're manufactured in the United States in California. TradeWind is also the only manufacturer we know of that makes drop-in chillers. The drop-in chillers have a titanium coil type probe which is designed to lay flat in the sump. The probe is 12" x 2.5" and comes with a 67" lead to the chiller. With the drop-in chillers you do not need to worry about connecting a pump to your chiller (but you will need a sump). They also have conventional chillers (inline) that require a pump.

IC-GEL™ is a cyanoacrylate paste that is extremely thick which comes in an applicator tube like toothpaste. It has the same bonding and curing time characteristics as MAXI-CURE™. IC-GEL™, however, it can be applied to a vertical surface and will stay in place. It will not run. This can be very convenient for some assembly applications. Applying CA to the bottom of a horizontal surface, such as a ceiling, can be very difficult with anything other than a full standard CA bottle. IC-GEL™ can be applied at any angle with just a squeeze of the tube. The gel does, however, have a tendency to continue to come out of the tube for about a second after pressure is released, so this must be taken into account to apply the exact amount of IC-GEL™ that you want.
