This Fluval FX4/FX5/FX6 Canister Filter Semi Annual High Performance Maintenance Kit Package includes five items: the Fluval FX Filter Replacement Bio-Foam Pads 2-Pack (Fluval A239); Fluval FX Filter Replacement Bio-Foam Block 3-Pack (Fluval A228); Fluval FX Filter Replacement Carbon Foam Pad 2-Pack (Fluval A249); Fluval BIO-FX Premium Biological Filter Media, 5L (A1459); and the Inland Seas Super Lube Silicone Lube, 1cc.

Fluval's FX Canister Filter Semi Annual Maintenance Instructions:
To prevent sudden failure or reduced performance, Fluval suggests the following maintenance be performed every six months on their FX Series Canister Filters:

Unplug the filter prior to cleaning
Clean and lubricate the included Motor Seal Ring (with the included Inland Seas Super Lube Silicone Lube)
Check and clean the impeller and intake Stem/Strainer
Check and clean the ribbed hosing
Replace the included Bio-Foam Pads (every six months)
Replace half of the included Bio-Foam Blocks ( every six months)
Replace the included Carbon Foam (every month)
Replace half the included Bio-FX and rinse the other half (every six months)
