Aquarium & Pond UV Sterilizers by Type

There are THREE types of UV sterilizer set-ups, the in-line , the in-tank (or in-pond) and the hang-on types (some sterilizers can be hooked up as a hang-on or an in-tank sterilizer). The in-line set-up usually has the sterilizer under the tank (or beside a pond) in line with a pump and filter (if a mechanical filter is used). UV Sterilizers: Hang On

The UV Sterilizers in this section are designed to hang on the back of the tank. Hang-on UVs are somewhat uncommon as for larger tanks the sterilizer needs two or three feet long, which is too large to hang off an aquarium.

UV Sterilizers: In Line

In Line Aquarium UV SterilizersThese In-Line UV Sterilizers are designed to be used outside of an aquarium or pond. They do NOT have a mechanism for hanging the sterilizer on the back of an aquarium.

UV Sterilizers: Smaller Aquariums

5W to 15W UV Sterilizers for aquariums. In general, the UV Sterilizers in this section are for aquariums under 75 gallons.

UV Sterilizers: Larger Aquariums & Ponds

25W to 240W UV Sterilizers for aquariums. The offerings in this section are for larger aquariums and ponds. The smallest UVs in this section are 25 watts and they could be used for anything from a 55 to 130G aquarium. The largest UVs are mostly for ponds, with the largest we carry being for ponds up to 17,000G or an aquarium up to 1,800G.
