Loc-Line 1/2" Modular Hose & Fittings

1/2" Modular Hose System

Loc-Line 1/2" modular hose snaps together one segment at a time, so you can build return lines, spray bars and directional outlets for canister filters, small sumps and all-in-one aquariums.

Each segment bends and holds its position. That lets you aim flow precisely and readjust it whenever your aquascape changes, with no cutting or gluing. The 1/2" system is the most versatile choice forsmall to mid-size aquariums and nano systems.

Build Your Return in 4 Steps

Connect

Start with an NPT adapter to connect to your pump, bulkhead or canister fitting, or use a male NPT or FPT valve for a shutoff right at the connection.

Extend

Add hose segments, sold in 6" pieces or a 5-foot coil. Use an elbow for tight 90° turns.

Finish

Finish with a round nozzle (3/8" or 1/2" output) or a flare or large flare nozzle. For wider flow, try the flat slot, 5-hole, swivel or spray bar nozzle.

Control & Split

Use an in-line valve to fine-tune flow, an in-line check valve to help prevent backflow, and a Y fitting to split one return into two outlets.

↓ Stepping down? A 1/2" to 1/4" adapter, Y reducer, reducing nozzle or 90° nozzle lets you step down to the 1/4" system for a finer stream.
★ Pro tip: The assembly pliers make snapping segments together and taking them apart much easier. Want it all in one box? Grab a complete return kit in 1/2" or 5/8".
