The Lifegard Aquatics Ballast for the NEW 15 Watt QL-Series UV Sterilizer, 25 Watt QL-Series UV Sterilizer and 40 Watt QL-Series UV Sterilizer.

This ballast is for the newer QL UVs ( post 2010) with a hard plastic threaded fitting over the 4-pin connector. The OLD QL Series UV Sterilizers (pre 2010) have a rubber boot. To use the new ballast with the old sterilizers you will need to replace your Lifegard Aquatics UV Cap & Coupling.

Your ballast may not look like this ballast. Lifegard started using this particular ballast in 2023. It is backward compatible with all the mention QL and AquaStep UV Sterilizers produced since 2010.

This Ballast will also work with the NEW STYLE Lifegard Aquatics Aquastep Pro 15 Watt UV Sterilizer and Lifegard Aquatics Aquastep Pro 25 Watt UV Sterilizer. The NEW STYLE has a top and bottom piece that are glued in place.This ballast is not compatible with the OLD STYLE Aquastep Pro. The OLD STYLE has a top and bottom piece that are screwed into place.
