This Fluval 306/307 406/407 Canister Filter Monthly Maintenance Kit Package provides enough media for three monthly changes.

The Phosphate Remover Pads are effective at removing and controlling phosphate. Removing phosphates is the most effective way of reducing algae in aquariums.
Fluval recommends you replace your Quick-Clear Water Polishing Pads & Carbon every month. They also recommend you clean and lubricate the Motor Head Gasket. This maintenance package will last you three months. It has SIX Water Polishing Pads, THREE of the Carbon, SIX of the Phosphate Pads, and enough Lube for three months.
Fluval's Monthly Maintenance Instructions:
Be sure to unplug your filter before cleaning.
Along with the Water Polishing Pad, Phosphate, and Carbon, you should replace any Ammonia, and Nitrite pads you are using. Check and clean the Impeller. Check and clean the Bio-Foam, Bio-Foam+, and Bio-Foam Max. Rinse the BioMax with aquarium water. Clean and lubricate the Motor Head Gasket and impeller cover.
